Belle âme — Paris Collection Journal (Dotted Spiral notebook)

I’ve always been drawn to travel—the cultures, traditions, architecture, landscapes, food, and the unique energy each place holds. Paris, of course, is one of my forever favourites. Every visit feels like falling in love all over again. There is something undeniably magical about the City of Light.

While I take photographs to preserve those memories, I’m equally inspired by the surreal, abstract, and playful side of art—the kind that captures a feeling rather than just an image. This painting marks the beginning of a new travel-inspired series, where I explore blending photography with expressive elements to reflect the essence of each place.

My intention is to capture not only what a destination looks like, but how it feels—the culture, the atmosphere, the memories, and the emotional resonance—all woven into a single piece.

The image shown here is a snippet of my painting “There’s Something About Paris.” Within it, I’ve layered photographs from my first trip in 2007 with sketches, paint, and handwritten details. Every time I look at it, I’m transported back to that sense of wonder—completely in awe, as if discovering something magical around every corner.
