If you know me, you know my love for horses. From my earliest memories, I’ve been drawn to sketching them — captivated by their powerful presence, balanced with grace, beauty, and elegance.

With Horse 1, I explored translating the delicate feel of a pencil sketch into acrylic paint, using bold black strokes to preserve that raw, sketch-like essence on canvas.

This painting is part of my ongoing journey to express the spirit and strength of horses through a new medium and evolving style.

Creative Process

This painting started from my love of sketching horses. I wanted to see what would happen if I took that loose, pencil-drawing energy and translated it into paint. Using bold black strokes, I focused less on detail and more on movement, rhythm, and feel — letting the horse’s presence come through naturally.

Why Horses

Horses have been part of my creative world for as long as I can remember. I’ve always been drawn to the balance they hold — strong yet graceful, powerful yet calm. There’s something grounding and inspiring about their presence, and they continue to show up in my work as a way of exploring strength, movement, and quiet power.
