Horses have always held a special place in my heart. From my earliest memories, I’ve been drawn to sketching them — captivated by their powerful presence balanced with grace, beauty, and quiet intelligence.

In this piece, I continued exploring how the delicate, emotional quality of a pencil sketch can translate into acrylic paint. Using bold black strokes, I focused on capturing movement, energy, and form in a way that still feels raw and sketch-like, while allowing paint to add depth and permanence.

This painting is part of my ongoing journey to express the spirit and strength of horses through a new medium and evolving style. Each piece in this series is both a study and a tribute — an exploration of power and softness existing at the same time.

For me, horses represent freedom, presence, and emotional strength. There’s something grounding about them, something ancient and wise. Through this series, I hope to express not just how horses look, but how they feel — strong, steady, and deeply connected to instinct and energy.

Creative Process

This piece was created by approaching paint the same way I approach sketching — focusing on confident, intentional strokes rather than overworking details. I wanted the painting to keep that spontaneous, alive feeling that pencil drawings naturally have, while letting acrylic bring boldness and contrast.
