Giraffes are endlessly fascinating to me — gentle, graceful, and uniquely designed to see the world from a higher vantage point. As I learned more about their symbolism, I was drawn to how deeply it aligned with the heart of this series. Giraffes represent ambition, aspiration, and clarity — a reminder to rise above limitations and view life with a broader, wiser perspective.

As I painted Non-Conformist, I allowed those qualities to guide each brushstroke. Like the other pieces in the Do Everything in Love series, a hidden heart lives within the giraffe — symbolizing that even when we walk a different path, love is what leads the way.

The series takes its name from the scripture:
“Do everything in love.” — 1 Corinthians 16:14

I’m deeply fascinated by how imagery speaks to the subconscious, which is why each background in this series carries the symbolic traits of its subject. For Non-Conformist, those qualities include:

Aspiration, Wordly, Opportunity, Calm, Prophecy, Confidence,    Strong, Serenity, Uniqueness, Guidance, Divinity, Honoured, High Regard, Peacefulness, Grace, Reach for the Stars, Connection,     Spirituality, and Non-Conformist.

This painting is a quiet reminder that it’s okay to stand tall, see differently, and follow the path that calls to your soul — even when it looks unlike anyone else’s.
